In other words, Uber XL is offering rides in bigger cars, with more people and higher fares. Expect to ride in cars like Toyota Wish, Toyota Avanza, Proton Exora, Nissan Grand Livina and Perodua Alza when you request for a ride with Uber XL. As mentioned, each fare will costs more for Uber XL as compared to riding with the normal Uber X. Therefore, be prepared for a little premium charge.
Uber XL is currently available in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang. In Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, the minimum fare is RM0.40 with a cancellation fee of RM5. The minimum fare in Penang is slightly lower, RM0.25 with the same cancellation fee of RM5.
With the introduction of Uber XL, it is certainly a good news for those of you with bigger family members, working professionals who prefer to travel in group or a bunch of friends who likes to hang out. There is not a need any more for you to request for two Uber X cars. Requesting for one Uber XL is cheaper compared to requesting for two Uber X. So, you should know which one is the better option.
